GoDaddy.com stole my domain and put it on their auction without deleting it from the servers. Do not let domains expire on GoDaddy.com. They with take the domain and will not release until you pay around $155 or put it on auction starting at $95. I am planning on moving all my domains away from GoDaddy.com.

Hi everyone,

If you need to transfer your domain from Godaddy or any other registrar, Name Cheap has one of the best deal. Use the coupon SWITCH2NC and move your domains at a bargain. The usual price is <del>$9.16</del> and the coupon code will reduce the price to $8.16 (ICANN fee included). Every domain transfer includes a number of useful free features and free WhoisGuard privacy protection.

When you move your domain to Namecheap.com, all remaining time on your domain with your current registrar will be transferred PLUS they will extend your domain for one more year.

Re elephant killing (the act, not the poster) - okay, great. Now what do you do? I have 25 names, and I'd like to switch, but you have to consider costs. There don't seem to be a lot of reliable and cost=effective options. What am I going to do, spend up to $300 in transfer fees, depending on registrar, and that's even before considering what are likely to be higher registration and renewal costs. Granted godaddy isn't a monopoly, but they are large enough now to provide the services they do at prices below their competition, and then they can do what they want with vile behavior, chauvinistic marketing, etc. It sucks, but if you don't have deep pockets, what do you do?

Agreed, thank you Elephant Killing. I am actually here looking for the best place to move my 100+ domains from GoDaddy. I will never buy a domain from them again. I'm sure the other CEOs have their issues as well, but hopefully they won't openly gloat in public about their nasty, ignorant behavior and call themselves humanitarians.

I think the most important line item is missed in this comparison chart. Which company CEO openly sport kills wildlife like Elephants and Leopards. GoDaddy! #1 Sport wildlife killer!
